It was going to be a hot day today so we decided to go to Santa Cruz Beach & Broadwalk to escape the heat. Everyone else also had that idea. It took us 2 hours to find parking. After a late lunch, we managed to play a little bit on the beach. The last time I went to a beach was when we went to Hawaii. Back then, I didn't even know how to play with the sand and water. Now, it's a different story...

Our last full day in Seattle. Of course, we have to visit the tulips fields. To finish it off, dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory and hanging out at my cousins' place until past midnight.

2 goals for today - (1) a surprise visit to the American Girl store (which was only 5 minutes away from where we were staying) for Jocelyn. Her doll got her hair done. (2) Spend time hanging out with cousins. Missions accomplished!

Kids had fun waiting to board the ferry to Victoria. But then once we boarded, Colin didn't want to get out of the car and onto the deck. Meanwhile, Jocelyn had fun exploring every corner of the boat. Victoria/Butchart Gardens was great. We were surprised the kids enjoyed it so much even though there was lots of walking. We were also thankful that the weather cooperated until the end.
